Ever heard of the Mining Emergency Response Competitions?
These competitions put the teams in very real scenarios (don't look below if you're squeamish!) to allow them to understand how best to handle these challenging situations they train so heavily for.
GasTech staff volunteer their time and also sponsor these events throughout the year such as the GasTech Australia Victorian Mines Rescue Competition held recently in Yallourn. The Underground Mines Emergency Response Competition in Kalgoorlie was held last week and The MERC is coming up on November 28-29.
